US visa appointments in India
The US Embassy in New Delhi and the Consulates General in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata handle US visas themselves: you book in the mission's own online system, go to its visa application centre or document drop-off point on the day, and interview at the post.
The mission's pages name two different sites. Check which one to use before you book or pay.
- Its visa pages send applicants to U.S. Travel Docs, ustraveldocs.com/in/en, to schedule the appointment (in.usembassy.gov, read 1 Nov 2026).
- Its visas page also says: “Please note that our customer service center has migrated to a new platform. Applicants may now direct any visa-related inquiries to support-india@usvisascheduling.com.” (in.usembassy.gov, read 1 Nov 2026).
Some facts below come from archived copies of the official pages, because the live sites blocked our reader; each one shows the date of the copy.
