VFS Global takes Indian visa applications in the US, in 8 cities, Washington DC, Raleigh, Sandy Springs and Chicago among them. VFS Global runs the Indian Consular Application Centres for the Embassy in Washington and eight Consulates General; you apply by post or at a centre by appointment.
