Where to apply for a Brazilian visa in the US
There is no visa application centre for Brazilian visas in the US: US citizens apply for the e-Visa online on VFS Global's platform, and other visas go to the Brazilian Consulate General for the area where you live.
US citizens apply online for an e-Visa. Since 10 April 2025 US, Canadian and Australian citizens need a visitor visa for Brazil; it is applied for online as an e-Visa, with no visit to the consulate (gov.br, read 1 Nov 2026). Brazilian consulates do not accept in-person tourism or business visa applications from US, Canadian or Australian citizens (gov.br, read 1 Nov 2026).
